Karl Kae Knecht Cartoon

Description: Scenes from Knechts vacation to Sky Top, Pennsylvania. Top: Knecht sits at a table outside. He is wearing a winter coat, hat, and gloves. A person in a chefs hat stands at a stove near the table. The ground is covered in snow; there are trees and animals all around. Center: Knecht gestures to his luggage, which is sitting on the ground, with one hand and to a porter with the other. The porter responds that he cant tote luggage until 7 oclock. A clock on the wall behind him shows that it is 5 minutes to 7. Bottom: Knecht walks down a street, probably Broadway, in New York City. He is surrounded by lit theater signs. He says that he stayed in a hotel with walking distance of most theaters and that he often didnt need a coat.
