Cartoon about food rationing. Uncle Sam holds his hand up, palm out, over a basket of potatoes and asks people not to hoard them. A man standing in the produce section of a grocery store and pushing a shopping cart reads a sign which says fresh vegetables are free of points. A hand holds out a sheet of paper listing when ration coupons become valid. Point value of dried prunes cut. A man behind a stores counter gestures to a shelf full of goods and an empty shelf; the products on the full shelf were reduced in price, but they were still unsold, while the products on the now-empty shelf were reduced in points value. Italian/French Chef, a man wearing a chefs outfit and holding a frying pan, says that they cook with olive oil instead of butter in those countries; a woman points out that olive oil is very expensive. A man stands up on his chair to cut up a huge piece of meat much larger than he is.
