A sweet potato - like Bob Burns Bazooka - says Henry Quillen who raised it near Patoka Ind. - While W. Peachy 736 E. Gum St. Evansville brought in a 10 pound 25 inch around sweet potato grown at Chester Tenn. Drawn by Mary Janet Chrisney - Lilac Bush - Blossoms have been growing on what was thought dead limbs - seared by fire - where non had been in 3 years, while on the rest of the bush there were blossoms each year - even last spring. At home of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Tabelman-Chrisney Ind. A fifty cent piece of 1832 found by Jacob Herr on his farm near Newburgh Ind. A pritchard tomato vine growing 20 ft. 6 in in the Fentons greenhouse Weinbach and Monroe Ave. An angel wing begonia that is growing 9 ft. 5 inches at home of Mrs. George Schmidt Huntingburg Ind. with Mrs. Schmidt, in the sketch above is her granddaughter Mary E. Gunselman. Now lets have other than growin oddities.
