A summons is issued to the Sheriff of Knox County that Alexis Maisonville is owed $537.92 by judgement decided in 1801. The amount is the debt he owes on a mortgage plus $67 cost and charges on the suit against the heirs of Lachine and Louis Boyer Sr. The heirs are listed as Louis Boyer Jr. Toussaint Boyer, Francois ----, Joseph Dubois and wife who are convicted on the record issued from the court on a writ of execution. It also states that Alexis Maisonville was to have been paid August 1801 by exposure of sale from mortgage. He states he was told only $51.94 was made at the sale and he asks the court for proper remedy. He asks the court to bring the heirs of the late Lachine and Louis Boyer Sr. to court and asks why they have not paid the debt owed. The summons was filed August 5, 1813 by R. Buntin, Clerk and executed August 5, 1813 with a cost of $2.05 1/2. B. Beckes, Sheriff and G. W. Johnston P.Q. executed the summons in the presence of B. Beckes, Sheriff. Witnesses to the serving were Garome Crely and William Warden. The cost of Court Bill was dated August 1813 in the amount of $11.01 1/2. |
