Jurors of the U. S. County of Knox hear an indictment that Joseph Robedeau did on the 4th day of July in 1805 with force and arm take a hog, valued at $3. The hog was property of Francois Legnon. H. Hurst, Deputy Attorney makes a statement that he will no longer prosecute. A subpoena is issued to take Jean Baptist Bonhomme, Michel Brouilette, Bennoit Bizayon, and Francois Bizayon to court on the 3rd Monday in March 1807 to give evidence against Joseph Robedeau. The subpoena is executed by P. Beckes, Sheriff with a cost of $1.59. A summons is issued to the sheriff to take Joseph Robedeau to jail in Vincennes and bring him to court the last Monday of March 1806 to answer to an indictment against him at the November term 1805 for hog stealing. The summons is dated 10 March 1806 and signed by R. Buntin, Clerk. Abraham Defrance, Deputy Sheriff, states that he could not be found. A summons is issued 1 April 1806 for Joseph Robedeau to bring him to court for hog stealing during the July term 1808. The summon is signed by R. Buntin, Clerk. |
