Description: File contains the accounts for James Gibson for keeping Danville Mail carrier and horses in 1834 and the account of Noah Ashley with James Gibson. Also a sworn deposition by James Gibson and witnessed by William Noy with his mark was taken by Jonathan Collins. An account documenting keeping Danville mail carrier and horses January 1, 1834 to July 1, 1834 which was 26 weeks at one dollar per week $26.00, keeping same July 1, 1834 to August 25 at $.62 1/2 per week $5.00 and 24 days hack hire at $.50 per day $12.00. Total account sworn by Gibson and witnessed by William Noy. On the back of Deposition is a receipt written that Gibson received $28.69 from Joseph McClure one of the administrators of Noah Ashleys estate. Another 1834 Account of Noah Ashley, listed 324 pounds flour $5.65 and leather braces $12.00. Totaling $17.65.
