An account of the estate of Thomas Emison, dated July 2, 1831-September 12, 1832 totaling $23.59 is filed. A note states that the whole of the account is $84.46. The document is filed May 18, 1838 by W. R. McCord, Deputy Clerk. Thomas McClure comes to court and gives a statement on his delivery of 20 bushels of rye to Emision Mill and that Emision told him that he would pay his father, Samuel McClure 33 cents a bushel for all the rye. Sworn on May 2, 1837 before James Emison, Administrator. Signed By Thomas W. McClure. Vincent McClure swears on oath that he delivered the rye listed on the account as the 18th item on the account to Thomas Emison Mill. This was sworn before H. O. Shepard, Justice of the Peace. An account held by Thomas Emision showing the dates of 1832 that are listed as hauling items of potatoes, rye, and beef, is also filed with the amount showing as $58.15 owed to Samuel McClure. An account is presented showing the transactions that the Thomas Emision estate owes to James Emision. The account shows the amount of portage from February 7, 1832 to June 18, 1836 as $92.98, stage fare for his son James from 1835-1836 as $46.25, balance due on rye $18.00 and in 1835 paid to son James in cash $65.00 for a total of $2222.23. Also listed is the 1/2 balance due on the note of Emision vs Noah Ashley on the Ashley, estate $322.21 for a total of $544.84 less account $3.63.81 1/2 balance due of Emison $180.62. An account held by Samuel Emision to the estate of Thomas dated March 22, 1835 for hauling whiskey, keeping stage horses from April 1835 to June 1836 less work totaling $36.81 1/4 is presented. |
