Description: |
Civil court case in which James Purcell was suing Antoine Marchal, administrator of Robert Hamilton, deceased, for $100.00 damages from an unpaid promissory note and debt. The promissory note, made in Vincennes, was between Hamilton and Purcell for $40.17 1/2. Purcell also alleged that Hamilton had been previously in debt to him for $50.00. According to the Minute Book, it was ordered that the plaintiff recover $24.00 plus costs and charges. The date of the promissory note in the complaint does not match the actual promissory note. |
