Description: Civil court case in which Toussaint Dubois was suing Antoine Marchal, administrator of Robert Hamilton, for $59.90 1/2 unpaid debt and $20.00 damages. The debt occurred during the August term 1803 from previous judgments that went unpaid. The defendant filed a plea that there was nothing left of the estate to administer. According to the Minute Book, the defendant, by attorney General Washington Johnston, confessed to owing $52.31.
