This is the Grand Army of the Republic application of Oscar Rankin, dated December 6, 1883. Oscar first enlisted on June 7, 1861 as Private in Company F 14th Regiment of the Indiana Infantry and was discharged on September 5, 1863. Oscar re-enlisted on March 26, 1864 as 1st Lieutenant in Company G 119th Indiana Cavalry and was discharged on October 29, 1864. Oscars application was recommended by George W. Miller.
