George Hatz GAR application

Description: This is the Grand Army of the Republic application of George Hatz, dated September 10, 1879. George first enlisted on May 19, 1864 as a Private in Company B 139th Regiment of the Illinois Volunteer Infantry and was discharged on October 28, 1864. George re-enlisted on March 2, 1865 as a Private in Company J 47th Regiment of the Illinois Volunteer Infantry and was discharged as a Corporal on January 21, 1866. Georges application was recommended by J.N. Adams. Examining Committee members were William H. Armstrong, J.W. Haley, and L. Burget. Applicant Elected, Mustered, Number on Des. Book, Adjutant, and Post Commander information omitted.
