Description: This is the Grand Army of the Republic application of Jacob Brinig, dated May 15, 1890. Jacob first enlisted on July 8, 1861 as a Musician for the 24th Regiment of the Indiana Infantry and was discharged on August 17, 1862. Jacob re-enlisted on August 10, 1863 as a Principal Musician for the 91st Regiment of the Indiana Infantry and was discharged on June 26, 1865. Jacobs application was recommended by V. G. Dickhout. Examining Committee members were J. W. Sargeant, Robert Hines, and Cornelius P. Murphy. Applicant Elected May 15, 1890. Applicant Mustered and No. on Des. Book information omitted. John F. OReilly, Adjutant; C.L. Feltus, Post Commander.
