This is the Grand Army of the Republic application of John Boyd, dated September 5, 1895. John first enlisted in June 1862 as a Private in Company B 54th Regiment of the Indiana Volunteers and was discharged on September 2, 1862. John re-enlisted in Company D 156th Regiment of the Indiana Volunteers and was discharged on June 6, 1865. Johns application was recommended by Solomon R. Meader. Examining Committee members were J.
