Price family home in Montezuma, Indiana

Description: View of a Price/McLaughlin,Toro/Fields home in Montezuma, Indiana ca. 1900. Elizabeth Mary Price with her granddaughters Lela Frances Toro, aged 3, on the left side and Grace Maude Salquist, aged 4, on the right. The home is 17 years old in this picture and was built using wood beams purchased as surplus from the B & O Railroad. They were first used as beams on the wooden railroad bridge across the Wabash River at Montezuma. The family still retains all the receipts for items purchased to build the home. The home stood at the corner of Adams and Jefferson till 2004 when it was demolished.
