Description: |
This is a black and white photograph of the students of Bellmore High School in Parke County, Indiana from 1907-1908. Clifford Hadley, principal, is standing on the far right in the back row. The school lost its commission after the 1928/1929 school year and seniors were transferred to the Greene Township school. A new high school was built in 1930 and named the Union Township High School. The last graduation took place in 1959 after which the schools of Union Township merged with the Rockville Community School district. The old Bellmore High School was destroyed by fire in May of 1986. This item was donated by the Don McCue family. |
