Power plant and laundry Indiana state sanatorium Rockville, Indiana.

Description: This is a black and white photograph of the power plant and laundry buildings at the Indiana State Tuberculosis Hospital which was 3 miles east of Rockville, Parke County, Indiana. These buildings were constructed on lower ground so as to be out of view. The plants smoke stack can be seen in the background. The chief engineer of the power plant was A. T. Puett. In 1913, the State Sanatorium Covered Bridge was built to transport coal across Little Raccoon Creek to the plant. This item was donated by the Don McCue family.
