Farmers Chapel School Parke County, Indiana.

Description: This is a black and white photograph mounted on black matte of the building and students of the Farmers Chapel School located south of Ferndale in Jackson Township Parke County, Indiana 1884-1886. Some students have been positively identified, others are tentative. Standing in the front row the boy behind the sign is possibly Marion Otto Martin, #8 John Ared Harney. Row two: #1 Artie Tuttle, #2 possibly Naomi Tuttle, #5 Bell Kenzie #7 Hettie Harney. Back row: ? Daniels, #4 teacher W.R. Seward, #5 Herbert Harney, #7 Louis Seward and #8 Willie Harney. This item was donated by the family of Pauline McKinney.
