This is a black and white photograph of the Avalon Restaurant located near the intersection of US 41 and US 36 in Rockville, Indiana. Owners at the time were Thomas and Ann Cummins Bain. It was a two story brick building with dormer windows on the north and south facing sides, concrete steps leading up to a porch. Cars are parked in the front and both sides. In the distance can be seen houses on Ohio Street (US 36) and College Streets. The building no longer exists. This item was donated by Lynn Lee. |
