This is a color photograph of the Lyford one-room school at Billie Creek Village just outside Rockville, Parke County, Indiana. The red frame structure is topped by a cupola containing the school bell. The building was donated by the estate of John Huxford to the village and moved from its location on US 41 north of Lyford. This item was donated by John R. and Lucille Coffin. |
