Witnesses include Dinah Walker “of color.” While Crittendon Burtch is not identified as being Black, Folder 5486 of Box 102 holds a like document seeking to bring William Burtch, (identified as “negro”) into court. The dates on both documents are the same as is the purported victim of the assault, one George Gray. |
