Knox County court record for William Embre, 1837

Description: Folder 4427 in Box 81 of Knox County Circuit Court records at the Knox County Public Library’s McGrady-Brockman House holds two documents: a summons dated March 15 1837 calling on William Embre to “answer unto the state of Indiana on an indictment for a riot.” A bond dated July 2, 1837 includes both Embre and Sam Emison, but only mentions Embre in connection with the riot.
