Description: The probate record for Christian Graeter, 1825-1832 (files 2 and 3) is in Box 15 of the probate records archive at the Knox County Public Library’s McGrady-Brockman House. In a bill from Dr. Mark Barnet to Graeter is listed that on 4-27-1820 medicine was given for negro “Morticai” $3.75. In file 3 is a bill from Dr. E.M. Namee (McNamee) listing visits to estate on 1-3-1822 “visit wench in night examination for vagina, advice, drops” and on 1-15-22 “Ricini for wench”. Another bill from Dr. J.D. Woolverton listing visits to estate on 10-17-1825 visits for meds for negro Don $3.00 and again on 10-24-25 2 visits for negro Don $2.75. A bill to the estate from John Pitcher lists purchases made for estate by Ned Sims (Simms).
