Description: The probate record for William Embry, 1815 is in Box 5 of the probate records archive at the Knox County Public Library’s McGrady-Brockman House. In his will, Embry leaves his negroes the balance of his property currently in their possession as he had allotted formerly. He also leaves $217.00 to his negro man Cesar. Names also appearing on the single document, Richard Cox, David Chambers, Henry Embry and William Polke.
