Description: The probate record for Jacob Myers is housed in Box 48 of the Knox County probate records. It can be found at the Knox County Public Library’s McGrady-Brockman House. A sale bill for the Jacob Myers estate was filed December 21, 1850 by William McCord, Clerk. Also contained in this file is a bond for the administrators over Jacob Myer’s estate. The bond names Margaret Myers, Frederick I. Myers, James Thorn and John Downey as filing bond. Other items found within the file are a newspaper advertisement; cost of court, estate inventory filed by Joshua Hyland, an affidavit that states James Thorne and John Downey are appointed as appraisers of the estate by Joshua Hiland J. P., and a list of disbursements.
