Knox County probate record for Theodore Wampler, 1850

Description: The probate record for Theodore Wampler is housed in Box 48 of the Knox County probate records. It can be found at the Knox County Public Library’s McGrady-Brockman House. On August 23, 1850 Joel Wampler and John Horn are named as administrators of the estate of Theodore Wampler. Joel Wampler, Henry Pickle and Mumfred Bicknell are named as appraisers of the estate. Joel Wampler files a statement that the estate is only worth fifty dollars and he names the heirs as John Wampler, George Wampler, Anna Ruck and Daniel Ruck, Elizabeth and her husband Leonard Sutherland and Rebecca and Richard Brown. Other items in the file are an account of sales, a newspaper advertisement, a medical bill owed, a bill for nursing care, a statement of account, and various court costs.
