The question is: Resolved, That the several states should readjusttheir systems of taxation so as to exempt personal property and improvements on landfrom taxation. Wendell AV. AVright, E. J.Hemmer and Harvey Stork will have theaffirmative side of the question and face theOshkosh Normal School in our Normal Hall,Friday, April 25.On the same date Oscar Haney, WalterCarnahan, and Bert Ellis will meet EasternIllinois Normal at Normal, Illinois, taking thenegative side of the same question. Never before has the Normal put forth two such strongteams. The men have put forth their bestefforts in acquiring their material. They haveall had experience in debating and are deeplyinterested in this sort of work. Every obtainable fact, pro and con, relating to the question has been sought out and moulded intotheir arguments. Prof. Bacon has given anunlimited amount of time in assisting theboys in the recasting of their material and thedelivery of their arguments.It is needless to say these young men shouldhave the hearty support and encouragementof every Normal student. Let us not fail toshow our sincere appreciation and gratitudeby our presence, not only to the debaters, butto Prof. Bacon.Athletic Association is composed of girls.Evidently the girls expected the fellows tojoin twice, perhaps.ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION.The Athletic Association reports the following numbers of men and women, respectively,who have joined the association up to date:Men, 115

total, 182.In spite of the fact that 80% of the schoolis composed of girls, only about 35% of theSUNDAY SCHOOLS.The following Sunday school and Bibleclasses are called to your notice. Each ofthem meets at 9:30 oclock Sunday morning.Students not already located should ally themselves to one or the other of these classes, lorthey are all good.
