An exceedingly goodtime was reported by all.The meetings of the past month have beenof unusual interest, both in points of interest-ingness and attendance. Mr. Westphal talkedto the girls the first meeting of the month. Hissubject was The Tapestry of Life. Everyone present enjoyed this very much. The secondmeeting was conducted by Mr. Stalker. Hespoke about The Last Supper in his usual interesting manner. This was indeed a treat, foreveryone realize that Mr. Stalkers talks onart are not often equaled. Dr. Rettger alwayshas something worth while to talk about andall present at the third meeting of the monthwere very much interested in his talk on TheStory of Ruth. All felt that they would bebetter able to appreciate the story after hearing this inspiring discussion of it. Mr. Lynchspoke at the joint meeting this month. Mr.Lynch always has something that people wantto hear and this talk was especially good inmany ways. He spoke of a philosophy of lifethat everyone must have, and outlined one thatwas much appreciated and valued by the bodyof men and women who heard him. His firstpoint was that we have one life to live. Anyone ought to be inspired by this to live a lifeworth while. Second, when one has a desire toenter upon a doubtful course, such actionshould be followed out to its logical consequences. Third, every individual should striveto develop a proper standard for determiningwhat is of value in life, and what people are ofreal worth. Fourth, an independent judgmentis essential to right conduct, Matters should bedecided by the individual on their own merits, not because of the views of others. Fifth, anotion of what real success is, is necessary before moral and intelligent action is possible.Sixth, every individual owes the world a realservice in some line or other.A change has been made necessary in the cabinet by the resignation of the secretary, MissLoftis. Esther Westbrook was elected to fillthis vacancy.
