Hemmer, Wright andEddy.The event of a society debate is one of themost important occurrences of college life, andas it is customary to have but one each year,each student should avail himself of this opportunity. Practically all the graduate members of both societies will be in attendance,and the quality of the literary effort will beclosely rivaled by the enthusiasm of the audience. Let every student be present. Be loyalto our school. Come, cheer your favorite team,and encourage the boys by your presence, andyour voices.EQUAL SUFFRAGE LEAGUE.The Equal Suffrage League has been somewhat hindered, but not asleep. Indeed not.It has only been attending the ball game andkeeping the school going. But things will begin now. Watch the bulletin boards. Cometo our meetings. Stop! Look! Listen! Theschedule for the rest of the term has been madeout. See that you save time to hear us. Wedont know all thats going to happen, but itwill be sure to be worth while. AVe have thelargest organization in the school and are going to make the most noise. Listen to w7hatwe say, look at what wre do, stop and join us.You will receive an equal welcome. Our meetings are open to all, in fact every one, members, sympathizers and opponents, are equallywelcome.Friday, the 17th, at 1 oclock, Miss McMul-len of Wiley High School, gave an interesting talk to the league. Unfortunately, thetime was limited and all too short. After thetalk questions were invited.The schedule for the term is as follows:January 17 at 1 oclock, January 31, at 1oclock, February 7 at 8 oclock, February 21at 1 oclock, March 7 at 8 oclock, March 21 at1 oclock.NOTICE.Students who expect to graduate from theCollege Course during the current school yearare requested to see me at once.College Course students who have not hadestimate cards made should attend to that atonce.F. Mr.Starr has spent months and years at different times among these people, not as a tourist, but as a student. AVe may expect reliable and interesting information about theseprimitive people.MRS. EMILY MONTAGU BISHOP.On Friday, February 28, Mrs. Bishop willappear in Normal Hall and present Scenesfrom the United States Senate. She willgive characteristic selections from actualscenes which have taken place in the Senatechamber. She portrays vividly the habits ofmind, the dispositions and the methods employed by our great Senators.
