The report ofthe committee was accepted and Mr. Hyndman instructed to take orders.Well, the Seniors are maintaining their record, at the present writing, in athletics. OnDecember 8 in the first series of the inter-classgames the Seniors defeated the Sophs by ascore of 33 to 14. Now, all we have to do tomake the Senior class the champion class ofthe school is to defeat the College Course andJuniors.Stop! Look! Listen ! Seniors get busy.THE JUNIORS.Already the Juniors are in a receptivemood
however, part of it was unintentional. The victory, lost to the College Course basketball team, is referred to. The Juniors have revealed their receptive mood by receiving theirbeating in the usual glad manner, and gaining hope, from the close score, of later victories. The regular Junior meetings have been attended by fewer than some others
also theyhave been of such good talent that the meetingbilled for December 13 was adjourned in favorof the Varsity basket ball game with CentralNormal College, of Danville, Ind. TheJuniors are justly proud of their representatives on the regular Varsity, namely: Clark andStiffler. Corresponding to their playing theJuniors will endeavor to add enthusiasm byrooting. At the opening of next term quite a numberof loyal, wholesome Juniors will leave the classto join the dignified ranks of the Seniors. Considering that all things work together forgood we slowly, and yet willingly, bid thema proper farewell. We expect to see the standard of Seniors raised somewhat. Also theJunior standard will remain in its high position as few people are expected to enter frombelow. It might be stated here that theJuniors are preparing to fitly observe Christmas
and next term make themselves noticeable.COLLEGE COURSE.No meetings of the College Course havebeen held since the publication of the lastissue of the Advance, but we can notice thespirit of the College Course growing steadily.Of the seven men who helped to wrest victoryfrom the hands of the Merom boys on Friday night, December 6, Knauth, Unverferth,AVright and Caffee are College men. Of theofficers of the newly organized Equal Suffrage League all but the honored secretaryare College Course students. In the basketball game with the Juniors on December 9,we broke all precedents by walloping themwith a score of 35 to 26. This is surely enoughglory for one month.
