Another member of the section,Miss Belva McKorkle, became the bride ofOwen Mitchell on September 12.Mary McBeth was hostess for the first partyof the fall term, October 5. The rooms weredecorated in the autumn colors. Variousgames formed the diversion of the afternoonand dainty refreshments were served. Prizeswere awarded the Misses Minnie Rollings andLena Failing.The guests of honor wxere the Misses Drake,Krietenstein, Failing and Bull.On the afternoon of October 9, the activemembers and a number of the girls who areteaching in the city entertained with a theaterparty at the Grand, followed by a luncheon atHerzs tea room. The place-cards were theMyosotis insignia and were the work of MissMary McBeth. Covers were laid for MissesFailing, Wade, Black, Ferree, Waller, Neu-kom, Rollings and Sale. The guests of honorwere the Misses Krietenstein, Failing andDrake.Saturday evening, October 19, the threepledges, Drake, Krietenstein and Failing, received the first degree initiation at the home ofMiss Helen Sale. At the close of the eveninga two-course luncheon w7as served.PSI THETA.The Psi Theta chapter was reorganized thisfall after a vacation during the summer. Thefollowing old members were welcomed back:Misses Esther Norris, Margaret Underwood,Madge OHaver, Ivah Trout, Helen Pfeiffer,Belle Inglis and Florence Peck.Misses Norris and Peck entertained October4 at 520 North Center street. Misses Keefer,Bowen, Freudenreich, Houk, Walsh, Peck andVeit were present.Blanche Johnson very pleasantly entertainedthe members and the above guests at her homeon North Eleventh street, October 11, at anafter-dinner party, a marshmallow toast being one of the main features of the afternoon.The Misses Keefer, Bowen, Veit and Peckwere initiated into the secrets of the chapter,Friday evening, October 18, at the home ofMadge OHaver on North Eleventh street.GAMMA GAMMA.The Gamma Gamma Section will initiate thefollowing pledges on Friday, October 25: Gertrude Kearns, Helen Pugh, Ruth Boyer, HildaHathaway, Margaret Worsham, Anna MaeThomasson, Louise Dailey, Elizabeth McNutt,Isa Mullikin, and Ruth Cohn.LLAMARADA.During commencement week the Llamaradasexperienced the pleasure of having many oftheir old members with them again. At noon,on Wednesday, June 12, the section entertainedin honor of the graduates and returning members at Herzs tea room with a three-courseluncheon. The graduates were Misses LottaDay, Mamie Lott, Jane Jones, Fern Colglazierand Nelle Stibbins. The visiting girls wereHazel Woollen, Lenore Burnam, Florence Earleand Lucile Stibbins. The active memberspresent were Misses Gertrude McComb, MinnieParsons, Harriet Woollen, Esther Soules, GraceStokes, Ruthamra Miller, Margaret Lahey,Orpha Cole, Grace Nantz, May Cline andEdna Peyton.Monday evening, July 1, Miss Minnie Stokesentertained the Llamaradas in honor of hersister, Miss Grace. The party was a surpriseto the honoree and was thoroughly enjoyed byall present.A delightful picnic was given by the sectionat Collett Park, July 25. There were sixguests and twelve members present.Only three of the Llamarada girls are inschool this fall, but the fact that eight otherslive in the city makes possible that the sectioncan have some very merry times.
