A short but interesting gamecalled Going to Europe, was played, andeach member succeeded in getting there, MissGeorg being the first to complete the journeysuccessfully. This was followed by a storycomposed by the entire club, each having achance to add to the thrilling adventures of thehero and heroine. Goethe would have sighedwith envy, the Romanticists wrung their handsand wept in despair, and our German professors beamed with delight at the composition asit unfolded. As it was, the flight of time forcedthe authors to hastily bury the latest victim,and leave the fate of three men and one beautiful maiden hanging in the balance.On Wednesday, October 9, the club againassembled in Room B39. On account of thevarious class meetings many were preventedfrom attending. The club respectfully requeststhat all classes, organizations, and individualswould respect its ancient custom, handed downfrom the founders in 1906, of assembling onevery Wednesday of every week, and choosesome other day for their meetings, and in thisway help us to carry on our wTork unhampered.All students of German are invited to identify themselves with the club, and to aid us inmaking the meetings profitable and interesting.Miss Ada Welte has been chosen as president. Miss Louise Barbour is acting secretaryuntil a secretary can be chosen.Thompson, graduate member of the society,presided over the meeting.FORUM.The Forum Literary Society met at 8 oclockSaturday morning, October 5, and organizedfor the fall terms work. The following menwere present: Messrs. Barker, Burget, Car-mack, Rightsell, Harshman and Fowler. Thefollowing officers were elected: Program committee, Harshman and Fowler

historian, Carmack. Clem O.CICERONIANS.The Ciceronian Debating Society began itswork the first week in the term. Some very interesting and helpful work is being done andeach meeting closes with added enthusiasm.Four new members, Messrs. Carnahan, Elder, Ellis and Shaw, have been taken into thesociety since the opening of the fall term. Allare endeavoring to make themselves helpful tothe organization, and the organization helpfulto themselves.Mr. Schorling, who taught in the ShortridgeHigh School last year, is teaching in ChicagoUniversity High School this year. Our friend,Mr. Reeves, is also holding a position in thesame school. Another I. S. N. man, W. H.Cain, is in the mathematics department of theHigh School in Kalamazoo, Michigan. All theaforesaid gentlemen are Ciceronians. The society wishes them a successful school year.The most important event in Ciceronian lifein the past few months was a Ciceronian camplocated on the bank of White river near Sand-born. There, during the first week in September, the Ciceronians got back to the woods,and enjoyed that hottest week of the year, fishing, swimming, and living in the open air, afit recreation preparatory for the hard work tofollow. The fellows who attended this yearwrere Cullins, Hagerty, Shaw, Schorling,Reeves, Unverferth, Meyer, Dunagan, Cain andHaney.DAEDALIAN.The Daedalian Literary and Debating Society has just finished the most successful ofits four years of existence. During the firstweek of school the officers for the term wereinstalled and arrangements were made for theweekly meetings. The meetings are held everyFriday at 3:30 P. M., and consist of the chaplains exercises, a parliamentary drill, one ortwo musical numbers, and a debate or a series
