Miss MaryKadel, a former member of the Sorority, wasa guest.The girls were entertained at the home ofMiss Waller, Wednesday afternoon, April 14.Miss Erickson was present and gave a veryinteresting and helpful talk to the girls.Most of the girls will attend Madam Butterfly at the Grand, April 24.Seventeen members of the Section have returned for the spring term and plans are beingmade for a great many good times.OMEGA.The Omega Sorority of the Womans Leaguemet March 20, at the home of Miss HazelDavis. The afternoon was spent in makinga number of Omega pennants. A short business meeting was held, at which plans weremade and officers elected for the spring term.The following officers were elected:Leader, Miss Hazel Davis

secretary, Miss Edna Lloyd, treasurer, Miss Nola Williams.The Omega Sorority, together with a number of its friends, was entertained Saturday afternoon, April 11, by Miss Hazel Sowers,1415 Chestnut Street. The afternoon was spentin games and contests, light refreshments being served by the hostess. Those present werethe Misses Catherine Metcalf, Elma Hollings-worth, Mary Hughes, Wilma Gahner, NelleAldridge, Lenora Wingerd, Grace Love, DaisyCrocker of Winfield Ind., Corinne Rieleg andElsie Kirchoff of the Kappa Sorority, HazelDavis, Elizabeth Peyton, Nola Williams, Edna Lloyd, Iris Fish and Hazel Sowers.DER DEUTSCHE V ERE IN.Although there has been nothing heard concerning Der Deutsche Verein, in the Advance this year, up to this time, neverthelessit is still alive and flourishing. During the fallterm the program consisted chiefly of a study ofthe lives and works of the various German writers, beginning with the Reformation in Germany, but during the winter term the studentsenjoyed a series of delightful talks upon German life by Professor Mutterer, who laidspecial stress upon the life of the students inGermany.Another enjoyable feature of the club is theKaffeeklatsch which is given every monthby the various members. For the present theVerein will continue the work on the literature of Germany, interrupted now and then bythe Kaffeeklatschen, and the rehearsal of theplays Eigensinn, and Giinstige Vorzeichenwhich are to be given in the spring.SENIOR.With the opening of the spring term theranks of the Senior class have been strengthenedby many who have come back to finish theirwork. Several others wTho are now teachingwill enter in time to graduate with the class of09.Mr. Cory, the class president last term, hascompleted his course and withdrawn fromschool. Mr. Schockel and Mr. Stirwalt havealso withdrawn. Mr. Schockel is assisting inthe Geography Department of I. S. N., and Mr.Stirwalt is teaching Mathematics in WileyHigh School.On Friday afternoon, April 9, the class elected the following officers for the spring term.President, Mr. Davis
