AVe are all congratulatingourseh-es on the quality of the material Avehave in the class offices. On Friday night, April 25th, the Oshkoshdebating team from Oshkosh, AA7is., Avas defeated by the overwhelming vote of three tonothing. The College Course students feel dulyproud and chesty that the Normal teamwhich did this job so thoroughly and whichhas made the first record of a defeat OAer Oshkosh, Avas entirely composed of College Coursemen. Mr. Hemmer, Mr. Stork and Mr. Wrightare the men. They are not only registered asstudents on the College Course, but Mr. Johnson reports that they always pay their classdues, and everyone knoAvs that they attend allof the meetings that are given. There have been but two eAents that haAehappened to mar the pleasure that has beenours during the past month. Mr. AAHielan, though a bit behind the general trend of thetimes, has dutifully contracted a case of themumps, and is again among us after a shortabsence. AA7e haA*e one kick to register againstsuch a method of procedure. He did not remain sick long enough to enable us to send himfloAvers. The other sad event is the departure of Mr.John Eddy for a position of teaching in thePhilippines. Mr. Eddy has been in almost constant attendance at Normal since 1908. He hasalways been a staunch and reliable supporterof all College Course enterprises, and his lo^swill be sorely felt. AA^e bid Mr. Eddy a sadfareAvell, but hope at the same time that he mayhave unbounded and rapid success in his newfield of work.No parties, socials, or stunts haAe been held,as yet, this term. But the outlook is bright.Spring has come, and the College Course social committee is planning a delightful picnicfor the near future. An abundance of eats willbe provided, and as is also quite customary, there will be an ample supply of novel and unheard-of amusements. The date has not at thepresent writing been announced, but if everyone scrutinizes the bulletin board regularly andcarefully, he will be sure to find out the time.At this meeting and migration it is intendedthat the toAvn be painted red so be on hand andbe ready for AvhateA-er may come.
