Miss Martina Erickson, Dean ofWomen, who was a guest, gave an interestingtalk upon the aim and plans of the WomansLeague. Those present were: Misses EthelCasey, Hazel Davis, Mary Flaherty, HazelSowers, Iris Fish, Edna Lloyd, Nola Williamsand Elizabeth Peyton.The Omegas were entertained February 22by Miss Maude Julian at her room, 641 NorthCenter. An elaborate dinner was served at thenoon hour. The diversion of the afternoonwas the initiation of five new members intothe Section. Those present were the MissesMary Flaherty, Nola Williams, Iris Fish, Elizabeth Peyton, Ethel Casey, Edna Lloyd, HazelSowers, Hazel Davis, and Maude Julian.PI ZETA.The Pi Zetas held their initiation at thehome of Ethel Carr, in West Terre Haute, January 20. Three new members—Emily Lewis,Mildred Greissmeyer, and Matilda Day—wereintroduced into the mysteries of the Section.After the work of the evening refreshmentswere served.A fudge party was given at the home of GlenGobin, February 9, in honor of the Sectionsnew members.The Pi Zetas gave a theatre party to TheServant of the House.On March 1, The Dean was entertained bythe Section at the Mansion House, from sevento nine. At the conclusion of a most interesting heart to heart talk, ice cream in the formof yellow roses, the Sections flowers, and angel-food cake were served.An informal reception was tendered the PiZetas at the home of Gertrude Miller, March 4.SENIOR.At the meeting of February 26 the Pin Committee reported that the design for the classpin for 09 had been selected and the orderplaced. The first order of pins will be on handthe first week of the spring term. The cap andgown question was brought up for discussion,but deferred until the next meeting.After the business session the class was entertained by Mr. Kesler, who gave a violin solo.Miss Davis acted as accompanist. The othernumbers on the program were :Vocal Solo r Miss GossmanReading Mr. BrumfielPiano Solo Miss DoerschuckSOPHOMORE.The Sophomore class under the guidance ofthe new and enterprising President, Mr. Byrne,has taken on quite a bit of class spirit andclass work. The meetings have been marked bytheir good, breezy programs and enthusiasm.On account of the basketball games the classmeetings have been somewhat irregular, but bymeans of the unceasing efforts of the Presidentand his faithful officers interest has been keptalive.COLLEGE STUDENTS ENTERTAIN.The College Course students held their informal reception Thursday afternoon, February 25, in the Association Rooms.
