He is now working for the Government Survey Co. at Shelburn,Ind. Frank Wade and Will Moore, throughSophs, are in the same work and report themselveswell pleased with it. Mr. Wade is in Oklahomaand Mr. Moore in Tennessee.Fred Schaffer, through Junior, is teaching nearClinton. -Miss Carrie Welsh, Principal at Greenwood,south of the city limits, will enter in time to graduate with the Class of 03.Daniel McCarver, 96, is principal of a highschool in the state of Washington.Mr. E. E. McFerren, a through Junior, andprincipal of the Millgrove High School, was givena very complimentary notice in each of the Indiana School Journals of last month.Miss Herrings sister and brother-in-law, Mr.and Mrs. Jeans, visited her Feb. 3 and 4. Theywere on their way to their new home in LittleRock, Arkansas.Miss Shryer says she doesnt care if Mr. Cushing does want to be B-b-b-b-by her.Mr. Hanna, 06, is becoming quite popular as acomposer of music.John Hessong, 07, says that, if he were a Democrat, he would rather join the Jackson Club thanthe Jefferson. Club.Prof. Sandison was absent from his recitationsFeb 2-6 on account of illness.Prof. George Pierce Baker, of Harvard University, recently gave two lectures on ShakespearesLondon. His lectures proved very interesting andwere enjoyed by all who heard them.Senior 1—Practice makes perfect.Senior 2—I think I shall be a saint at the endof this term then.About twenty Clay county students visited attheir homes February 14 and 15. this year, as principal of a gradedschool.There have been 400 books added recently to theNormal library. This increased the number ofbooks to 33,000 volumes. This makes it almosttwice as large as any State Normal library in thecountry, as well as one of the largest found amongthe higher schools of Indiana,Word has come to The Normal Advance ofthe marriage of Mr. J.
