THE NOEMAL ADVANCE.17year of 01 and 02, known as the Forum. True,it did not accomplish very much for the school, but the immense amount of good which the members derived from it justified a reorganization forthe present year therefore all work is now complete and there exists The Forum. The constitution provides for but twelve menas members. Meetings are held on each Mondayevening, when a definite, prearranged programmeis carried out. The first programme of the yearwas as follows:Question.—Besolvecl, That the Attitude of theCoal Strikers in Pennsylvania is Just.President Mr. WarnerSecretary . Mr. Mayfiel dCritic Mr. VawterDEBATERS :Affirmative. Negative.Mr. Tucker, Mr. Dillinger,Mr. Stopher,Mr. Brooks.Mr. HessongMr. Sipple.JUDGES.Mr. Meier,Mr. Eogers,Mr. Henry.Of course the above is merely a sample programme, in which argumentation was the mainfeature, but the society does many other thingsalong literary lines. Later we will give to readersof The Advance a sample programme of quite adifferent nature. It is quite a noticeable fact that upon the nextday after the foregoing debate the great Easternoperators agreed to submit the great national proposition to an arbitration committee.May The Forum continue to awake those whoarc asleep is the wish of The Advance.Classes.SENIOR CLASS.The Senior class held a special meeting Tuesday noon, Sept, 30, in the literary room.
