This plate is circular with the scalloped edges. The border of the plate is painted in metallic gold. The inside border before the center painting is flowers in mauve with a light brown/yellow centers and surrounded by leaves in the same yellow and a light green. There are nine of these flowers around the plate and are connected with a light green line between the flowers. The center of the plate is a painting of the South West Christian Day School. The background of the painting is a blue/white sky. There are two buildings in the painting, one is a log house/school and a white building. The log cabin has a green roof, metal chimney top, and multiple windows on the two-stories. The white building is longer and not fully in the painting. The door is large and the rood is a blue color. There are four child in the school yard. There are two boys walking towards the front door and two girls talking to each other on the right. The title of the plate, South West Christian Day School, is in the center of the bottom half of the painting. Schrocks signature is on the bottom right edge of the circular painting. |
