Description: |
The painting depicts a landscape scene of a road leading up to a farm in the early fall. The road leading to the farm is a mixture of blue and light brown to create the look of shadows over a dirt road. The road has leaves scattered around it and suggests that buggies come down the lane often. the grass is a mixture of shades of green and yellow. There are two large trees on either side of the lane. The tree on the left has leaves that are still changing to fall colors, showing a large amount of green and small sections of red and yellow leaves. The farmhouse is large, two stories with an attic, and has a smaller one story section that is attached to the main house. The house is white with navy blue roofing. The house has nine visible paned windows. In front of the house, there is a small section of white fencing. It does not extend to the front of the barn. To the left of the house, there is a red barn with a brown/red roof and three visible windows. There are a line of orange trees behind the barn and house. A large amount of blue/white sky can be seen above the house and trees. The title of the painting, Autumns Gold is in the center of the bottom edge of the painting in black. Schrock signature is in the bottom right corner in dark blue with the year next to her signature in black. |
