Patiently Waiting

Description: The painting depicts a general store with a horse and buggy waiting for someone who is inside the store. Most of the painting is of the general store, named Honneyville General Store as shown on the sign at the top of the store front in yellow lettering with a black background. The general store is a square building, two-storied with five windows and a large door in the middle of the first floor. The building is light brown with red/brown trim around the windows and lining the roof. The porch stretches the length of the first story and is covered. The porch covering is held up by two brown poles in the two farthest corners. There is a silver hitching rail stretching the length of the front porch with a horse and buggy tied to the far right side of the post. The black buggy is four-wheeled with one door and is fully closed. The wheels seem to have some snow stuck on them. The horse is light brown with a white patch on its nose and white feet. The horse is covered in a gray-blanket from neck to hind-quarters. The blinders of the horse are visible on its head. There are two trees, one on either side of the house. Both have various shades of brown in the trunk of the tree with branches that are visible far up into the leaves. The leaves of the trees are fully covered in snow. The ground is snow created with a mixture of white, light blue, and pink. The title of the painting, Patiently Waiting, is located in the middle of the bottom edge of the painting in black. The date is located in the bottom left corner of the painting in black. Schrocks signature is in the bottom right in the same black.
