The steamboat Gordon C. Greene, New Albany, Ind. 1945

Description: The steamboat Gordon C. Greene is seen laid up at E. 13th Street in New Albany Indiana during the 1945 flood. She was returning from New Orleans but was unable to get under the Kentucky and Indiana Bridge. The K & I Railroad paid for rail transportation to Cincinnati as an option from opening the span on the K & I Bridge.
