Yandes, Indianapolis, In.Music.Benediction.[3]. 1834 June.Having become acquainted with the circumstances of the people of Indiana, & the absolute necessity of a College & Teachers Seminary in some part of the Wabash Valley, to furnish the means of education to the hundreds of thousands who will soon be found there, it gives me great pleasure to learn that an effort is about being made for its accomplishment. Such a step is timely & judicious, & it is my earnest desire that the people of New England improve the opportunity furnished for doing good at the West by both their prayers & liberal contributions.
