Cars are parked in the snow outside of Butler Fieldhouse (later renamed Hinkle Fieldhouse). The sign on the building says general admission. An article in the March 16, 1928, issue of The Butler Collegian titled Butler Field House Greatest in Mid-West stated that The structure is 430 feet long, including the gymnasium at the west and 210 feet wide and 95 feet high. The basketball floor measures 117 x 70 feet with the playing space of regulation size, 95 x 50 feet, and the floor is made up of 6 x 12 feet sections, fastened one to another (p. 7). |
