Postcard featuring Butler Colleges Main Building and Burgess Hall

Description: From 1898 until 1923, Butler University went by the name Butler College. In 1875, the University moved to its second location in Irvington. At that time, the Main Building (also called the Administration Building), pictured on the right, was the only structure. Burgess Hall, pictured on the left, was added in 1890.
