Butler Bookstore and Starbucks grand opening

Two people stand near the northern entrance to Atherton Union on Friday, September 3, 1999, during the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the expanded bookstore and the addition of the campus Starbucks. An archway of blue and white balloons hang over the doorway. When the coffee shop opened, it was the first full-retail Starbucks in Indianapolis. During the grand opening, prizes were given away including CD players, t-shirts, and mountain bikes. |
