Northeast side of Atherton Union

Description: Plants line the edges of the sidewalks and grass around the exterior of the north side addition to Atherton Union. An outdoor seating area is situated on the north side of the building and the grass is protected by a rope barrier. It is likely that this grass was recently planted after the 5,000 square-foot addition was completed. This space allowed for the expansion of the bookstore and the addition of the campus Starbucks. Both spaces opened in 1999.
