Graduation took four of thefirst five members of the team that finishedsecond in the state meet last year. Consequently, Coach George Berry had a nucleusof only three experienced men at the beginning of the season. Bill Ream, senior, pacedthe Univees. He won first or second placein every dual or triangular meet, secondplace in the sectional, and thirteenth placein the state meet.The team did not fare quite so well, butshowed steady improvement throughout theseason. In addition to Ream, Bob Dickermanand Steve Hoadley were awarded letters, andwill return to school to lead the harriers inthe fall of 1953.As the Jordannus goes to press, membersof the golf team are working out under thedirection of Coach Frank Smith. AlthoughW. R. Dunn is the only returning letterman,veterans Jay Ellis and Jack Stangle will addstrength to the team.
