BillReam, senior miler, was the only returningletterman. Ream placed third in last year’ssectional, but was prevented from runningin the regional by an injury.The 195 3 team will be bolstered by minoraward winners John Smith and Cecil Ratliffin the pole vault, David Robinson in thebroad jump, and Larry Ruddick and PhilRichardson in the shot put. Cross Countryteam members Bob Dickerman and SteveHoadley should add strength in the distanceruns.The track team will make its 1953 debutin the annual Hoosier Relays in the I. U.Fieldhouse on March 28. Other relay meetson the UHS schedule are at Linton on April22, at Delphi on April 25, and at Washington on April 30. The Univees are scheduledto participate in an indoor triangular meetwith Jeffersonville and Ellettsville and in anoutdoor triangular meet with Martinsvilleand Bedford. Both the sectional and theregional are in the I. U.
