APRILBy April, signs of spring were seen everywhere—from the budding of trees to springfever found among students. The usual four-day spring vacation was enjoyed by studentsand faculty from April 3 to April 7.When school reconvened, U-Schoolersfound themselves approaching Junior Carnival Time” and a shower” of entertainment. The rush was on for the Juniors, asthe time grew nearer and nearer to thatlong-awaited evening of April 17—the nightof the Junior Carnival. Practicing on stageshows, skits, and countless other things thatare a part of the annual carnival took timeand energy, plus ingenuity and originality—all important factors in the outcome of theJuniors’ main activity of the year.With U-School’s usual major sports completed for the year, excepting track, all eyesturned to the addition of a new sport atUHS—baseball. Plans for organizing a teambegan, and baseball was well on its way tobecoming a part of the school’s sports program.April ended, turning the leaves of theyearly calendar to the final month of theschool year—May.• II■ ; JL g> /..
