Junior Joe andSenior Tramp Day was May 6. The Juniorscame dressed in their best bib ’n tucker,”while the Seniors, in contrast, came dressedin any kind of get-up” they could throwtogether.Outstanding students at U-School wererecognized at the Honor Day Convocationon May 15.On Saturday, May 9, the Junior-Seniorbanquet was held in the cafeteria, and theprom followed in the school gym. May 24marked the date of the combined UHS-BHS Baccalaureate Service held in the Indiana University Auditorium. The followingFriday, May 29, Seniors received theirdiplomas in an impressive commencementceremony.Happiness and sadness reigned as the Classof 195 3 graduated from University HighSchool.
