THE BLUE TRIANGLE CLUBThe Blue Triangle Club of Stinesvillewas organized in 1929 with Miss Berneice McCordfirst sponsor. Edith Prather, Margery Gooldy,Lelia Rush, Thelma Pitts and Nellie May werethe first Senior members. Since then the clubhas increased in size until wo now have twenty-nineactive members. Alumni members are: 22dith Prather?Margery Gooldy Cherry, Thelma Pitts, weliie MayHazel, Lelia Rush, Esther Walker, Mary Schultz Chil-ders, Luvon Costin Hite, Lois Arnett, Mable Headdy,Geneva Lemon, Ilene Heid Grubb, Hazel Rush, MaxineArnett, Catherine Elliott, Lcota Elliott, and VivianRice.The cluli is a branch organization of the state Y.W. C. A. It stands for development of character andthe three sides of the triangle represent the moralmental and physical sides of our characters.The girls have a program every Friday, under thesupervision of one. of the three groups. They do welfare work and sell candy each noon. The money thussecured is used to buy furniture and other articlesneeded by the school. Since organizing the girls havefurnished a rest room for the school and have boughta pian*j, radio, china closet and dishes.The big social event *f the year is the annualMother-Daughter Banquet. This brings the mothersand daughters into closer acquaintance and givesthe mothers a chance to meet each other and theteachers. This was held April 6 and was a verysuccessful affair.
